Lg4710 Dvd Player Problems (urgent)

LG 4710 Will only play cds and not dvds it has been hacked to play all regions and on screen it comes up with check disc on all regions and all discs any help !!!

The 4710 has a switch on the back for PAL/NTSC/AUTO. Setting it to NTSC will cause PAL discs to display 'check disc'. However, NTSC Region 1 discs should be okay as long as the player has been correctly hacked (ie. set to region 0 or region 1).

Other than that, I'm afraid I can't think of anything else...

Hi,

Just to make you feel better I had exactly the same problem with my modded LG 4750.

I got round it by re-entering the Region 0 code manually.

Might be that the switch had been moved on mine as well, but the above worked.
