    Hey Folks!

My LG's firmware 5.10 is it possible to get someone out to upgrade the firmware, and if so will this improve the picture quality (Solarisation etc), cause the solarisation is really bad on sky movies and Region 1 DVD's

I got it in december from JL so could i return it and get a panny PE50.

    any help much appreciated.

    Cheers

    Paul.

    Cheers mate.

I have been told that the LG cannot handle progressive scan on ntsc signals. so that would explain the dvds. but sky is exactly the same, i have my dvd linked through component and my sky connected through scart. do you think the firmware could be a big factor??
