    Hi

I have seen the LG42LM670T online for £699 and am tempted but have heard not good things about it, the sont can be had for not much more although is a smaller screen.

Which TV is best for 3D and 2D playback also picture quality etc.

Or for around the £750 mark which 40 / 42" TV should I be looking at, would like smart and 3D

    Thanks

    Thanks Vickster

I was looking at the panasonic TX-L42ET5B, but then got attracted to the LG 42LM620T as it seems a good price at £499 from RS, only trouble is, I currently have a Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 which I am more than happy with, both picture and sound quality, but feel it time to move on with the smart and 3D technology but would like the same if not better picture quality.

    Will look at the panasonics.

    Thanks

Ok after looking around again, I have taken fancy to the Samsung UE40ES6900.

So now I have 3 options but am going to go to a store for a proper look, but these are

    LG42LM670T - Can get for £699

Samsung UE40ES6900 can get for £849 with soundbar and keyboard

LG42LM620T hopefully RS have in stock near me for £499

Cant seem to find any reviews for the sammy

Am I just being silly? I can't see the 6900 for £849 with the free soundbar and keyboard with the links you've provided.
I've been looking at the same, however at £949 from JL, so you've got the 5yr warranty and I'd be looking to resell the soundbar to try and get somewhere near £100 back.

    Hi Stoofa

I sent JL a price match to price match Curry's £849 and they accepted the price match, with the price match I sent, I sent them the code for the 6900 with free soundbar and keyboard and they accepted (well sent back the code with free soundbar and keyboard)

    OK, very happy :)
Who do I need to email at JL to hopefully get the same offer? Because I do like the idea of £849 and a 5yr warranty!
    Just email [email protected] ?

    Ta

This is the page I used to email Customer Services - John Lewis

When they ask for JL product code use the code for the TV with free soundbar and keyboard

Thanks for that. I've filled in the form and given them the code for the free soundbar version *Fingers Crossed*
If I get the same offer to match you got then I'll buy immediately.
    Thanks for the pointer.

I'll just give your thread a shameless bump as I thank you.
I contacted JL as you did to ask about the pricematch - they got back to me within 24hrs saying they would match.
THe 6900 with the free items went out of stock, however new stock this morning so I've ordered it at the Curry's price of £850 but get the JL 5yr warranty.
    Cheers for the tip.
