    Hi all;

    Just set up my new spanking LG14... and for now I have an old S-video cable from my previous CRT which I will use until the weekend - however, the picture is black & white!

    Probably something daft (I Hope) - but can anyone help me please?

    Has the lead come loose? The Scart came loose in Comet when I was testing and all I got was a green tinge to the whole screen.

    A scart from the Video to the tuner via an Argos scart switch works okay for me. Not brilliant but viewable.

    Would be interested to know how it turns out, TP2K. 3 days later and I am still tweaking my LG14. I wish there was a test card to help with setup.

    Check for bent pins and make sure the dvd player is set to output svideo and not rgb.

    Marts, for a testcard try the THX tests on Terminator 2 for example.

    Must say I am baffled; the cable and DVD player are the exact same (no setting changes seither) as what I disconnected from my CRT just an hour ago which was fine...

    So, I don't understand what's happening - I don't suppose any owners of LGs know if there is some sort of menu setting on the display which I am mis-setting? Something along the lines of accepting S-video?

    There is AV1, 2, 3, RGB-PC, component.

    AV3 should be your S-Video, using the TV/AV button on the remote.

    ...trying to help...

    - being a little dizzy here;

    I have an S-Video - Scart lead and was connecting via a Scart input on the tuner box.

    The AV3 socket is an S-Video connector so I guess I need a new cable (S-Video - S-Video)!!!

    :blush:

    Does S-Video for the Vid<->Tuner work better than cheapo Argos scart (gold ends)?
