Take a look at the LG 42PX4DV, mine is excellent, and needs only one remote
with the built in HD tuner and lot's of usable connections. :smashin:

Real battle of the giants here. LG certainly have great connectivity, will accept signals beyond the call of duty on all inputs. If either of these displays goes wrong, history tells us you are likely to up the proverbial creek with no wooden implements. Both LG and Samsung are shameful on after sales.

You will be the first to know if I need a wooden paddle, LG being No 2 seller in the UK means they sell more sets than most, that's why the odd's of hearing about a problem will be more than the others. ( simple logic my Dear Watson ).

Do let me know, cos LG's problems seem quite disproportionate to their sales, something between 10 and 20%!!

I still don't understand what is the problem-you get warranty as a end user and you have your rights-as I read from other treads if something goes wrong with Panasonic or other brand you can also stay for a weeks without TV. I can't be expert in after sale service, but in Holland LG has own service that take care of the electronics, they do not use repair agents, so that’s very efficient. And so works with most big brands-they just organize their own service base.
And let's be honest there are not much complains about the new PX3-4 series of LG.
I think Samsung are very strong in LCD, as they invested few years ago a lot in LCD monitors and TV, but LG has more to offer with Plasma.

Mine (PX3RV) is over 400 hours and PQ is even better then at the beginning.
