I have recently purchased the LG 43UN70006LA 43" Smart 4K TV. The TV is for the bedroom and we normally listen with headphones as to not wake the kids. This TV does not have a headphone socket. What is the easiest way to connect 2 sets of headphones? I have tried a DAC converter plugged into the optical output but you cannot control the volume when the audio output is set to optical. Thanks.

D/A convertors with a volume control are available.
Have a look on Amazon.

The converter wont be close enough to reach to adjust volume, would need to be remote controlled. Not sure that exists.

That model has Bluetooth so a cheap Bluetooth receiver should work....

Would an RCA to 3.5mm connector work?
RCA from what?
If you mean from the D/A convertor, yes, that will work.
You can easily extend either the optical cable (different lengths are available) or the RCA Phono output to bring the convertor closer to where you need it.

I agree... This is what I use to connect to an old pair of AKG headphones ;)
