LG TV audio ARC to Denon AVR-X1600H quality

Hi all,

i have a LG TV connected to Denon AVR-X1600H via ARC HDMI.
i have Klipsch R820 5.1 speakers.
My issue is that the sound quality especially vocals are quite low compared to the surround sound.
i have to turn up the volume for vocals.
this is only when TV sound is used. sound from Chromecast or DVD player is fine.
i am just wondering if this is experienced by anyone else or is it just me.

i would really appreciate any help with this.

Welcome to the Forum.

Not at all unusual for the audio from TV broadcasts or Apps to be much lower than that afforded to physical media. The audio will also differ in quality from programme to programme. ARC is capable of a maximum of SD lossy Dolby Digital Plus and any associated Atmos metadata. The newer eARC is capable of full HD lossless audio providing that everything in the chain has eARC as standard. If not even eARC will revert to basic ARC standard.

In a nutshell nothing wrong with your Denon or your TV it's simply down to broadcast quality.
