@Kiwijar The thread has gone adrift to other sound bars like the Q90r, so forgive me when I ask; The SN11RG is what you're talking about?
That's great news. Is this after changing to the latest firmware or your general experience throughout?
I had everything on zero and then did the AI room calibration.Has anyone played with the levels of the speakers (center, overhead, side, etc)? If so, did you do this before or after doing the ai room calibration? Want to make sure i am doing this properly, thanks.
I have the Panasonic FZ802 tv ( arc only ) and the rears do activate with 5.1 movies with my HDD that I put movies on ( 5.1 / Atmos / dts-x ) all work fine from the HDD and 4k discs. ( Also have the current firmware installed)Anyone with only ARC (not eARC) that can confirm 5.1 plays properly out of the rears after the fix? I only have an LG C8, so no eARC here.
Yep.... and with the amount of issues people seem to be having across most of these high-end Atmos sound bars... the AVR route may prove less troublesome.Today was at my friend's place (the only friend I socialise with during this period). He owns a mid.range Wharfdale 5.1.2 package driven by Onkyo AVR. Nice tight bass at low volumes and that sound fidelity was music to the ears. Now I really really miss my separates.
Soundbar is not bad but man it's a no contest.
I am just soooooo glad that my setup is now stable after moving to a AVR + Speaker setup.I moved to an Arcam AVR and that has bugs too
Glad you got it sorted, have you considered 9.1.4?I am just soooooo glad that my setup is now stable after moving to a AVR + Speaker setup.
Well, I have a further 2 pairs of Jamo D6SUR's speakers which I could have also rigged up but decided it might end up being too much for the room size. lol (2.5m x 3.5m)Glad you got it sorted, have you considered 9.1.4?
I've been playing the last of us PS4 with 7.1 and have no issues. All sound looks fine. But on the actual game you can position the speakers the way you like.Hi guys, loving my SN11, so glad to have it back.
I’ve been playing around with different audio formats on my PS4 Pro/Xbox One X, and I’m at a loss to what is causing the lack of bass through the rears.
I’ve managed to get the rears firing as I’d expect by enabling Atmos on the Xbox, this isn’t ideal as the implementation on the Xbox is terrible with audio drop outs (not the bar’s fault) but the bass is back in the rears when this is enabled.
I then tried 7.1 uncompressed, again plenty of bass, but the channels didn’t seem right, no matter which direction I threw a grenade behind me, it only exploded out of the rear right speaker, even when the grenade exploded to my rear left, I’d only hear it from the rear right.
Finally I went back to Dolby Digital, it sounded awful, all bass drained from the rears, I don’t understand what’s causing this? any ideas?
I’m happy that I’ve almost managed to resolve the issue myself, but I’m struggling with why this is happening. I repeated the tests on the PS4 (minus Atmos) and Dolby Digital was the same, however 7.1 uncompressed seemed to be working correctly. It’s all a bit bizarre.
**Update** Not convinced PCM is working correctly on the PS4 either, just done some further testing and the rear sounds are coming from the sides with PCM enabled. There also appears to be the mixed rear side too, tested it with 5.1 & 7.1. Bizarre that it seems to be with the games consoles.
Sorry for the long post.
It happens with the Apple TV 4K too, which I use most of the time.Hi guys, loving my SN11, so glad to have it back.

What happened to me few times is the center channel coming on one of the rears, but it's fixed by restarting the soundbar. Apart from that not had any problem. It happens with the Apple TV 4K too, which I use most of the time.
Any 5.1 LPCM content, the rear surrounds get re-directed to the front wide L & R speakers.

Should hope not for £1800I own an Arc Bundle and not had 1 issue of any kind with lip sync , drop out or Sound , it's very impressive.
TLOU2 is brilliant, I only wish I had this system when I played through it.I've been playing the last of us PS4 with 7.1 and have no issues. All sound looks fine. But on the actual game you can position the speakers the way you like.
I moved to an earlier firmware and now agree it's rock solid.I own an Arc Bundle and not had 1 issue of any kind with lip sync , drop out or Sound , it's very impressive.
What bar is it you refer to here ?I moved to an earlier firmware and now agree it's rock solid.
