I've been looking at various plasma panels over the last while the Hitachi 5200 looked sweet but after readign this forum it doesnt sound it (ALIS screen and lack of HD support).

I know alot of people rave about Panasonic panels but I'm looking for something with a higher resolution for PC use as well.

This new LG looks pretty good, has anyone got one or heard about them?

There have been reports that they are very good. I haven't seen the LG high res panels as yet, but I do have the low res 42PX11 and very happy with it.

If the design is not important, then check out the 42PX12X, which is basically the same as the screen you mentioned, but in a slightly uglier face.

I've seen it action, but only on a crappy cable feed. So it was really hard to get an impression of its real potential. But seemed ok/better than average.

The design of it is really nice, with its beatiful black trim, however not nearly as good looking as the Pio 435.

    Cheers for the info.

The PDP-435XDE does look impressive and may be in my price range in January.
