I finally decided on the LG plasma, but before I make the plunge I would like some advice on cabling.

    I have:

    1. ntl set top box - TV and VCR Scart Outputs
    2. DVD player - TV Scart and S-Video outputs
    3. HTPC - Freeview TV Card with VHF IN and S-VIDEO IN. S-VIDEO, DVI & VGA outputs
    4. Videologic DD/DTS Amp - Optical/COaxial Digital inputs & component(L/R) inputs

What is the best way to connect these?
    My thoughts are:

    1. ntl and DVD via scart direct to plasma (which one should use the RGB?)
    2. HTPC via DVI/VGA direct to plasma for viewing Freeview, any recorded programs and any general PC work.
    3. ntl VCR Scart out to HTPC S-Video In for recording shows. I will then have the ability to record from ntl and Freeview(?)

None of my equipment has component outputs so I cannot utilise these on the plasma.

My audio connections will be as follows:

    1. ntl to AMP via component(L/R) leads
    2. DVD player to AMP via Ditigal optical
    3. HTPC to AMP via component (L/R) leads

Can anyone offer any advice or see any issues?

My PC has an INtel Grantsdale 915P motherboard with Intel High Definition 7.1 sound on board. This will be wasted unless there is a way to convert the outputs on my PC to a digital format?
If this was possible I could possibly do without my stand alone DVD player altogether?

    Thanks in advance.

    HTPC = Home Theatre PC

Krismc, any reason why you don't use your PC's DVD player instead of the Samsung? Is it just a quality issue?
