    Hi,

I am planning on buying a dvd recorder. I am come across the LG RH200MH.
Basic needs are for copying sky+ recordings, camcorder footage and needs to have HDMI connection. I dont need freeview and so on. Must have at least 160GB HDD.

Anyone has any suggestions or views on the LG and/or what other recorders should i be looking at.

    thanks

I don't know about any reviews but if I was writing one I would say "Don't buy the LG"

I bought one last week and it is going back as soon as I have cleared down the disk.

My main problem with the unit is that it does not allow you to Fast Dub recordings if you have edited them.

So imagine you leave your Sky box on overnight and record 8 hours of stuff. Next morning you have an 8 hour title on your LG hard disk, so you chop it up, top and tail the programmes and remove the ad's. You then go to Dub the recordings to DVD bit it will not FAST DUB. This is because the LG does not allow you to do this.

I am told the Panny does so I am after one of those now.

It goes to show that you can't trust feature lists.
