The settings I used for running in were
    Contrast 50
    Brightness 60
    Colour 35
    Sharpness 0

    XD engine off

Contrast is the important one to keep low, it is the level of whiteness and high settings for first few hundred hours can cause you screen burn problems.

Brightness (the level of black) should also be kept quite low.

All screens vary slightly so you may have to play with those numbers a little to get something that is comfortable to you.

Let us know if picture is not too great with those settings and we will let you know what you can play around with to improve your picture.
It would also be handy to know what you are connecting i.e. sky, cable etc and how you are connecting - scart, svideo etc.

Setting have to be done on all inputs, so if you connect sky on AV1 and DVD on AV2, you would have to go into both and set them.

    Hi,

I ran my LG PX11 at low contrast and brightness settings for 200hrs, you don't need to run anything else off or low just these two!

    Bri- 55
    con- 55

I think though that you could run for only 100 hrs as this is a new panel and only the older pannys needed this 200hr length!

Just use orbiter function as well.

TIP... if you find any images that are lasting longer than they should put the LG to a channel that is not tuned to a terestrial channel (ie one that displays a snowy screen and no pic) for about 15-30seconds and it will clear the any lasting image.

    Hope that will help you!

    NM.

XD is LG's own brand of processing / scaling. It is supposed to give you better picture, for some it does, for others it doesn't. You can see a demonstration where it will show you half screen with on and half with off. This makes XD engine look really good - but for some it is not a ftrue representation and actually makes the picture poorer. You'll have to try to see which you find best.

Orbiter makes all of the pixels on screen move every couple of minutes - this is to help with screen burn. You may notice when watching that this happens for a while - but I've stopped noticing now.
