Ok, I have managed to get a video signal from a pc I have built.

Now I need to know best way to get audio without an amp.

I am using a pc as a space saver to get rid of my dvd player and dvd recorder. Didnt really want an amp as I cant have surround sound so it would be wasted really.

Pc just has basic audio from the motherboard at the moment. But if there is a PCI based sound card that isnt too expensive that can connect to screen then I will purchase one.

Anyone help ? Or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks all

When you say basic audio from the motherboard, do you mean the internal speaker beeps?

Most motherboards now have onboard sound and if so you should have three coloured connectors on the back of the case, red, green and blue. You need to connect a cable from the green(speaker out) to the audio in on the LG, beside the PC inuput.

If there is no onboard audio then a basic cheap sound card will have a speaker out which you need.

It has on-board sound. Have found the cable I need now. I think its a 3.5mm stereo connector. Right?

Just so. Almost all screens use a 3.5 jack to connect PC sound, as it's the connector found on 99% of PCs as well.
