About to buy a Samsung HD 745 for my px11 and connect via DVI.

I believe DVI carries no sound. How can I connect this player so I can get audio to the screen without using an amp?

    Anyone help.

Sorry if its a daft question.

Stereo out from DVD player on phono pair, I'd expect to find a 3.5mm jack next to the DVI port on the screen.

Yes I have the 3.5mm jack. So will it connect from a 3.5mm jack on back of the dvd player? Or will I need something different?

As MAW said - Phono pair out from back of dvd player then into the 3.5mm jack input, you will need to go buy a cable.
