    Hi All,
I have a LG RX42PX11 plasma display, which has a band with no picture running verticaly down the right hand side of the screen about 5" wide. I have been told it is possibly a board fault can anyone advise on which board might be the problem. or where i might be able to obtain a service manuel
    Many thanks in advance.

Get it looked at, it sounds faulty.

If you get bad service report back here, it then becomes useful information. ;)

What can I say, Colin? Is it still in warranty Joe? If so you'll be in luck I think. Another member who's PX11 went U/S recently was told the parts were no longer available, and was given a newer model to replace it with. I'm sure your advice is correct, it''s a panel driver (PCB) that's gone. It might be common to other LG models, so the parts thing may not be an issue, the only way to find out is to send it for repair.

The fact this is another 1 LG plasma in thousands sold, means nothing as LG is the SECOND biggest producer of Plasma's in the world. ( Simple logic my dear Watson), the way you keep attacking any LG problem knowing you have never owned one and never will own one because you are obviously bias to an absurd point. :lesson:

    Hi

    You completely misunderstood MAW.

When he said ..."panel driver"... ..."in common with other LG panels"... he meant that the display may use the same panel driver PCB, thus getting spare parts would not be a problem.
