Have you used it for gaming at all? Can you confirm there is no screen burn or other issues? I'm mainly interested in the 3D performance. How would you rate it regarding crosstalk?

Hi. Sorry, I forgot to mention all that stuff.

It has been used for a some gaming and there is absolutely no screenburn whatsoever. Regarding the 3D, there is no crosstalk on these...3D is staggeringly good :) The 3D filter seems to have been applied perfectly. As always with these models, viewing height has a sweet-spot.

As far as I’m concerned there are no issues and the uniformity for a 65” is pretty good IMO. Of course, I would hope and expect the potential new owner to check these things out before paying and taking it away, and there is always the warranty anyway.

      Hope that helps?

Thanks for the reply. I have to find out some details on my end tomorrow and have a think about it before I show any further interest. I do have a sony 65zd9 which I am happy with, even though the 3D Isn't perfect, it is always in the back of my mind that I suspect the lg would be much superior in that respect.

No worries. One of the benefits of LGs 3D is with it being passive, the glasses are very cheap and light (no batteries) and minimal/no crosstalk.

I haven't come to any decision yet. Waiting to see how much it costs to have it collected. Also with other factors to consider it will probably be the weekend before I decide what to do.

Had word back from the courier today. He has a vehicle passing your area tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon. Would that suit you if we made a deal tonight?

It can do as long as he rings me when on his way. BUT, you haven’t seen it in the flesh, you haven’t checked it for picture quality, uniformity etc. Doesn’t that worry you? I have to be honest, it would me.

I know it comes with the four plus years warranty so you’re covered for faults etc, but it’s still a lot of money to spend on something on spec. Are you aware of things like banding, vignetting etc, which exist on these, and many other, TVs to varying degrees? As I said earlier, in my opinion the uniformity on this is pretty good especially considering it’s a 65 inch but is always very subjective of course.

It’s completely up to you, I’m more than happy to go down that route as long as you are fully aware and accepting that you haven’t seen it in the flesh.

      In a nutshell:

No image retention, no burning, no dead pixels, no stuck pixels, very good uniformity with minimal banding and only slight vignetting on the right hand side (as normal only on very dark scenes). Supports Dolby Vision, HDR and HLG. Oh and the best 3D that you can buy. Absolutely stunning picture.

Yes I realise not seeing it in person Isn't ideal but I am confident that it's performance would meet my needs, mainly 3D. I'm still keeping my sony zd9 anyway.

Also it Isn't really viable cost wise to take a trip over from northern Ireland. The courier is also unsure when he might have another vehicle in your area as he is local and could be anywhere on the mainland depending on what deliveries he has.

It puts me on the spot a bit but that is how it is for now.

I will therefore make an offer of £1700 with payment tonight and collection tomorrow.

Hi. Make it £1750 and you’ve got a deal.

Edit: and of course you take full responsibility for the courier, insurance, etc.

I forgot to say. Can you take a picture of the tv before it's packed with something like a news channel showing date and time as proof of condition.
