      Hi All,
I bought one of those killawatt things to monitor my energy use and i noticed that my OLED pulls around 45 - 50W whilst turned "off" by using the remote control - if i turn it off using the button at the back of the telly it drops to next to nothing.

Now this is with Quick Start+, the Standby Light and "Mobile TV On" turned off.

To put that in perspective, that's going to cost about £60 a year just to have the TV turned off but plugged in.

This seems very high - any ideas as to why it would be? The PDF for the C7 says its should only be 0.5W. http://www.lg.com/us/support/products/documents/OLED_C7_Series_Spec-Sheet.pdf

      This is on firmware 4.70.95.

      Any ideas why?

Are you sure it wasn’t doing a compensation when you tested it ?

      Hmm,
I have noticed that it does eventually drop to almost 0W after a certain amount of time (over 10 mins at least).

I suppose it could be that...

Does it normally do it after every use? As I've seen it at this level for a few days now after switching off.

Just never got round to checking out after a around 10 mins had passed.

After 4 (i think ) hours of usage it runs a compensation while in standby
