Is it still auto if you have a connected device? It should be auto when using the internal apps on the TV but for a external device like a Blu Ray players, console or whatever you should be able to change between low and high.

Hello Steve, thank you kindly for your excellent post!
I am a proud owner of a B7 TV and I have to say it looks amazing with these settings.
That said, I have a couple questions. The first one is how should we set Dolby Vision in Game Mode? So far there's only one compatible game, Mass Effect Andromeda on PC.

Also, I noticed that some options are greyed out, such as Black Level in HDR Movie or Real Cinema in the ISF presets. Any clue why?
Thanks in advance

If you have a Dolby Vision game (I must admit I didn't realise there were any) then just follow the same set up recommended for Dolby Vision movies.

If something is greyed out don't worry, that just means it isn't available in that mode or for that particular signal.

I see, thanks. I was wondering about something: the TV supports Dolby Atmos, however I cannot enable Dolby Atmos on PC even though I've connected it via HDMI. Any clue why?

I believe that full Dolby Atmos support will be added via a firmware update in the near future.

Hi Steve is this tv ok with sky hd as I've read it has problems with interlaced signals so would it be ok with 1080i thanks.

Hi Steve thanks for the guide!
Recently purchased a 65C7. Any pointers for sport setup?
If you're watching sport just use the same day or night settings, the only difference is you might want to experiment with TruMotion.

Hello Steve. I see that in game mode the color gamut is fixed to wide (i know that if i set pc mode i can use isf with low input lag but with hdr game mode, with the latest firmware and pc enabled you can't choose anymore gamut auto). It's so bad the image with wide color on videogames? Thanks

Unlike TV, DVD and Blu-ray which use a set of industry standards for colour, there aren't the same standards when it comes to video games, so using Wide won't be an issue.

I would like to find a such comprehensive settings table like this to my E6 :)

Most of the settings shown above would be applicable to the E6 but there's also a settings video here: LG OLED65E6 Best TV Picture Settings

Hi Steve,

Thanks very much for your response.

I know your video very well. I saw it many times. In fact I still use your settings in my tv.

I asked about this type of table because I miss settings like this for the game modes.

Just wondering. If you come to Portugal in near future we can arrange a calibration to my TV. What do you think?

Thanks :)

Can someone explain how these are supposed to be used ?

Is the idea that the presets are reprogrammed, and then the mode changed for each type of content ? If so that involved a lot of fumbling about. But also the existing modes don't match the presets. I guess we can match certain presets with each of these ? Only a crazy person is going to watch the preset standard or vivid, so those are definitely free to play with ..,

PS. The HDR movie settings seem a good replace for the standard option. However I didn't like TruMotion disabled. User setting of 5 and 2 works much better for me.

In terms of the suggested HDR movie settings any suggestions to get a slightly brighter image?

Steve
after weeks of research and viewing i plumbed for the 55B7V
It arrived yesterday and i tried to set up with your settings, some however were grayed out.
Early days i know but i put in a couple of UHD discs and they looked very good, Planet earth 2 looked Fabulous.
i watched the BBC prog Trust me via a Virgin V6 box and it looked very good but i noticed whenever there was lights on in the back ground there was "yellow" ish lines branching out across both sides of the screen a bit like the blue light you sometimes get on a Blu Ray.
i was on the bright room picture mode at the time.
is there anything I can do to reduce this ??

thanks.
Bc
