B&O? Least its not bose :/
Interesting idea, though I've no idea how I would be able to put wheels on my current TV rack.
It's out of glass.
Well I just hope that LG manages to eliminate the usual problems associated with OLED, i.e. near black level, dancing pixels and bandings, rather than offering us ultra slim sets.
I doubt if LG can deliver that as well as delivering a 1000 nits for HDR.
How are you finding HDR on the G6 - Plenty bright enough, or not? Just wondering why you may swap to a G7.Agreed that the E6 seems to have had it's fair share of problems, although thankfully the G6's in Europe seem to have generally been problem free. Given that the G6 can achieve 730 nits I'm guessing that the G7 will be pretty close to 1000 nits, if not higher.
Personally I'm hopping that the G7 will look very similar to the G6 so that SWMBO won't notice the swap
Don't get me wrong as an owner of a band free G6 I am extremely happy with it and yes it's plenty bright in HDR. With regards to swapping for a G7, it will depend upon what the G7 brings to the table, HDR gaming mode, HLG, HFR, improved motion handling etc. etc.How are you finding HDR on the G6 - Plenty bright enough, or not? I just want a uniform screen, 3D and 700+ nits
Since the 2016 sets are already hitting 600-700 nits and clipping... I feel that I would only be happy with 1000+ which you would expect anyway on a 2017 model as it should be a substantial upgrade and would help with the content that is done at 1000 nits.
1000 nits would be great but that is a very big jump from the existing 600 to 700 nits. I will be really impressed if LG can make OLEDs get that bright next year. Not sure I understand that comment lol. A lot of HDR content is mastered at 1000 nits... so surely you would want your screen to be able to display that properly without clipping. Considering the 2016 clip highlights.... then 1000 nit Oled's can only be a good thing.
