    Hi!

Hope this is the right forum to post this question. If I buy the "LG M1710A-BZ 17" Monitor with built-in TV" for my PC, does it mean that I can also use it as a TV without buying a separate TV card for the PC and any other TV software?

    Specification:
    Resolution: 1280 * 1024
    Response time: 8ms
    450:1 Contrast ratio

Is the above specification ok for watching TV?

    Thanks.

    Yes you are correct.
You can just plug an aerial in as well as your VGA and switch between them with the input button on the remote.
My Brother bought one of these at the weekend from PCWorld for £199 and after fiddling around with the settings I was quite impressed for the price.
It also has SVHS in , Nicam sound and Teletext by the way.
There is no scart input but it has an adapter in the box to connect to a scart output using the AV input.
