Hi all, I have had a 50" 3D LG LED TV for just over 2 years and it has been a good set till now.

When you switch it on there is patches in the middle and there are patches at the bottom that go bright then dark. They look like a circle around the size of a tennis ball and very easy to see but when the tv warms up it stops.

Any Ideas would be great thanks, before I strip it down and check for blown caps on the back-light board

Hi , It could be the LED's . I have seen cases where they burnt through the strips , but to find out you will have to remove the panel and diffuses

Hi Thanks for the reply, if that is the issue is it a easy fix? Or should I just get a new TV.
    Thanks.

I think you can get the LED strips on E bay , It might be a tricky job if you can get the correct parts .

    Good Luck
