    Hello All,

I hope someone can answer these relatively simple questions.

If I purchase a 3D blu-ray player, will it play in a 3D mode, on a non-3D TV. So all I would need are the glasses?

If someone has a 3D TV, I understand it will create a 3D image, when displaying a normal Blu-Ray? If so, what is the point in then buying a 3D player?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Ok, this needs to go into this section

But & how can I put this, I'd read your question again before you post!

    :)

First of all, I included it in this area - because it is a question about players aswell as 3DTV.

I have re-read it, and I have constructed the questions slightly differently:

    Will a 3D blu-ray player produce a 3D image on a non-3D TV if I used the special 3D glasses?

    Will a 3DTV produce a 3D image even with a normal Blu-Ray?

If so, what is the point in then buying a 3D player?

I hope this is clearer. Any advice, welcomed

    Thanks

To view 3D Blu-rays you need to have both a 3DTV and a 3D Blu-ray player, you can't just use the glasses on a normal TV.

You can watch a normal BD on a 3DTV and have it convert to 3D but this is not the same, to get the most out of a 3DTV it should be paired with a 3D Blu-ray player and proper 3D Blu-ray films.
