LG home cinema

    Has any body any views on a LG Home cinema system sold by Dixons. This has a dvd and radio combined .

    R2 only machine

    has one scart, which is not RGB enabled (according to site specifications)

    No mention of the number of analogue inputs (3 is minimum you would want).

    It's cheap, cheerful, better than your tv but suffers all the usual problems attached to all-in-ones.

    What problems are associated with all in one`s home cinema systems. I also looked at a Panasonic all in one\ I believe the model was something HT80 ?

    There are about 3 threads a week on the all-in-ones

    generally, they are:

    1 - over priced for what you get
    2 - Poor connectivity (lacking scarts in some cases and not enough analogue inputs for all your items)
    3 - If one bit goes wrong, you stand to lose the whole lot. Equally, you lose the upgrade path.
    4 - low output speakers
    5 - not as many features as seperates.

    They are a good idea but poorly implemented. The idea probably came about when seperates where more expensive than they are currently and people didn't have some many external sources. However, that has changed but the all-in-ones havent
