LG GX mounting question

Novice Member
I currently have a LG B6 OLED mounted with the LG Slim Mount. I installed a recessed outlet box in back of the TV about midway up on the right side (when facing screen). I'm thinking about upgrading to the GX for a closer to the wall solution. The outlet box is now in the wrong place but I don't want to cut more holes in the wall. My question is, can I run the power cable up vertically on the back of the TV and then horizontally across to my outlet box? I would secure the power cable flat against the back of the TV with tape or something similar. I would then push the TV as close to the wall as possible but obviously not all the way in as it is designed. The bezel of my outlet box sticks out about 1/4" from the wall anyway. Even though it would not be completely flat to the wall this would be much much better than I have now.
