Have had my G3 for about 18 months. The battery seems to have really died - although I don't know if I am a heavy user. There is no way it lasts a day now. It also seems to get very hot. If I look at the battery usage graph it seems to put half of it down to the screen.

Was thinking of getting a replacement - although I got a replacement for my old Galaxy S3 and it didn't seem to help.

Where is a good place to get a replacement? They seem to range from £5 to £25 - loads on ebay, some on Amazon, then there is this:

Official LG G3 Standard Battery at MobileFun

How do people go about sourcing replacement batteries? I don't want to replace it with one the same. I have an external battery for longer-term no-power days, but looking to give the phone a shot in the arm.

      Thanks!

The only place i can guarantee you'll get a 100% genuine one is mobilefun.I bought one from them last year.

Also bought a 'genuine' one prior from a well regarded seller on ebay for £12 and that failed within 3 months, wouldnt charge.

Genuine lg g3 batteries are circa £25 anything less will likely be a fake.

btw have you done a full reset lately? might help.

I got that original battery from Amazon for $11 shipped and it work great. I thought all those third party batteries will not work better.

I brought one about six months ago from Amazon. The seller has huge number of positive reviews. I got the original battery. You can also buy from Amazon but notice reviews of the seller.

I got a new battery from mobile fun but it is hardly any different.

If I unplug my phone and head to work - listen to 30m of pre-downloaded music and watch 15 minutes of pre- downloaded video, that is about 40% gone. If I then leave it on my desk for the day without charging it will be virtually empty by 5pm.

Are my expectations unrealistic? When I got it I could get a full day out of it fairly easily.

I think most g3's do that over time, some are worse than others.
