I bought mine last Tuesday for £149 in John Lewis.First impressions are good. The only problem I've had so far is playing a burnt DVD film from my Sony Laptop PCG-K415B on to the LG,it comes up with the message unknown disc(previuosly recorded + disc's from other PC's work fine!).The same disc works on my other standalone DVD player.
Where have you seen it for £120 ?

    Andi

I'm seriously considering getting this too. I don't know much about dvd recorders so I hope someone will answer me these couple of questions. Does this LG record in widescreen (what I mean is sky w/s broadcasts) and has it got an in-built tv tuner?

Have a look at the 'Which DVD Recorder?' link in my signature.

Thanks for pointing out the link in your sig Rasczak :smashin:
An excellent report and, considering the complex subject matter, a totally comprehensible one
After reading the article i'm now going to purchase the LG. For my needs, which basically are watching and wiping, this machine will be sufficiant. I'll also be using it to back-up my pre-recorded vhs tapes. The lack of a flexible recording mode is a bit of a downer but i'm sure that i'll work out a way to get the highest possible quality out of my tapes.
