LG BD620 plays 23fps as 60hz with judder

My LG BD620 has trouble playing files such as MKVs that have been encoded at 23 fps (23.976 I'm guessing)

It always plays them at 60 hz which means judder is introduced.

Files that are 24 fps (according to the file properties) play at 24hz perfectly.

When I look at the properties of the files if it says 23 fps I always have the same problem.

Any one else have this problem and found a solution other than re-encoding the 23 fps file?

Thanks
