LG-BD370V How can i downgrade my bd player???

my lg-bd370v's version is 8.08.017B

i think that's why i can't do region free for that player.


anybody knows how to downgrade to 7.xx version?

i think if i downgrade player, region free will work.

i downloaded old version

"LG_BD_370VBA_v716665_Mar[1].02.2009.zip"


and.. i changed name to BD370VBB.ROM

i put this file into my usb stick.


when i inserted my usb stick.


it asked me to want to update


i clicked yes.


but few seconds later, it pop up "upgrade failed) with ERR 138


what's the problem!! T_T :lease::lease::lease:

Did you unpack the zip file or just renamed it?

I managed to downgrade from the latest version to 7.154. However the region 0 hack still did not work.

Can I confirm something? When I insert the CD to apply the hack I get a 'Disc Error' message - is this what others get?

Yep that's the message you'll get if firmware will block the update. If i read the comments on the vcdhelp topic, maybe the ones who can't update have the driver version 5100? My BD-370 is successfully made regionfree with earlier firmware (don't know which one...) but i have an older driver version.

oh......... yeah my driver version is 5100 something.

then that blocks firmware update?!
