LG-BD370 Does any one fail to make region free?

I bought this BD370 last December.

and i was trying region free.

i used cd-rw, dvd-r, cd-r. but nothing worked.


do you think my firmware version is too high to make region free?

i've never clicked upgrade menu.

I think a recent firmware version has disabled the region free hack. I used to have a region-free machine but since (I think) the last update this no longer works and attempts to re-apply the hack fail.

I can't think why LG would have done this. Having a machine which is region-free for DVD is scarcely a capital offence.
