Only the 3 highlighted models are near your current TV.

Everything else is a lower-quality TV and an unnaceptable replacement.

The LG BX is last years entry-level OLED, similar to your B9.
The LG A1 is 2021's bottom-of-the-range panel, but I haven't seen a decent review of it yet.
The Panasonic is their entry-level OLED.

Perhaps someone else can advise.

Those seem to be fair choices, the others, much less so.

BX, OLED705 or HZ980. A1 is only a 60hz panel so a downgrade compared to what you're using.
BX is practically the same TV as your B9. If they offer you the B9 they should also offer the new B1.

Although from the looks of it they are looking at similar cash replacements rather than like for like. As Bob says, most of the TVs on the list are far, far worse.

the HZ980 oled or lg BX

Cheers all.

Would I notice the the lack of 120Hz if I don't game? Same with the HDMI 2.1 to 2.0b, noticeable outside of gaming? Not sure if Netflix / Prime / Euro 2021 football etc would use 120Hz?

I'm tempted to push them and say it's not good enough offering the A1 to replace a B9. The BX isn't good enough either, surely B1 should be offered?

If they say no to a B1, which I'm guessing they will, are there any others I can ask for which are comparable and not on the current list? Maybe the 2021 version of the Panasonic, JZ980?

Cheers

Why would a BX not be good enough? It's pretty much the same as you've got and has 2 hdmi 2.1 ports so can't really see what your complaint is.

Why wouldn't a B1 be offered in 2021, when we're talking about a replacement for a B9? If it was 2020 then fine, but we're 1 year on from a BX.

120hz panels have primarily been on TVs so you can use motion enhancements to improve motion. Its only in recent years that vendors like LG have bought support for inputting a 120hz signal.

Sport will be 50fps in the UK, and when its being viewed on any 120hz TV the screen will refresh at 100hz.

You can then choose to insert frames to make the frame rate better if you want. On your current TV (and new LGs) this option is called TruMotion, so you may already have an idea how motion works.

You're in a good position having already owned the B9, if you want more of the same go for the BX. Is there something that you are unhappy about with your current TV?

The BX is a great gaming TV, the downside is its a bit dimmer than the other OLEDs, including your B9.
