LG 77 C1 not playing PS5 in 120fps

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a LG 77 c1 and have had a ps5 for a while. My son would like to play fortnite at 120fps which I have read that the ps5 and my LG c1 supports. I have ordered hdmi 2.1 cables (rated for 8k projection) and cannot get the tv to play in 120fps for the life of me. If anyone knows what steps I may need to take please help.

I have enabled 120hz mode on the PS5
I have tried different hdmi ports on the TV, although from what I have read, all ports support hdmi 2.1
I have looked in fortnite itself and there is no option for 120fps mode.
I have verified the fortnite install as being the version for ps5.

Is there any chance that I have a faulty tv and has anyone else encountered the same troubles?

There is a setting in the game to enable 120fps mode, they have a guide at link below.
