Hello. I just bought this TV on sale and got a good price for it. Coming from a high end but old Samsung (10 years old) I was extremely disappointed.

I'm mainly using it with my Ps4 Pro that I use for media center and gaming.

The main menu looks dark. The icons looks like a oil painting(?) but in certain newer games like God of War I would say it looks decent with hdr.

YouTube is too dark. Netflix is too dark (everything still in ps4)

I have tried resetting both TV and PlayStation. I also bought a new hdmi 2.0 cable to be sure.

I have done all the basics like disable eco modeand increasing all kinds of settings to try and get it but nothing pleases me and like I mentioned - the menu in ps4 pro allmost looks like bugged because the oil painting effect.

Is this what to expect from a TV like this? Should I change it ASAP?

See attached pictures of the icons in main menu. Ignore lines from camera capture but see the oil painting effect

    Regards from Norway

that looks like some kind of extra processing at work, is the tv in game mode ??..looks like some kind of edge smoother ....in game mode all extra processing will be turned off. Have you set the tv to hdmi black level to low and RGB setting in ps4 settings to low....that would be where i would start.

Thank for your reply. I have done everything I can as far as I know. It seems after som research that this particular TV and Playstation 4 Pro is a bad match.

I have now swapped it with a Sony XE9005/X90E which will arrive tomorrow.

I hope it will be a success
