Reluctantly for sale my LG 60PS8000 1080P THX certified Plasma, unfortunatley we recently noticed a thin green line running down the centre of the screen, this is more evident on certain colour backgrounds with reds, blues and yellows, its easy not to notice it, for me though this means a new TV so im just hoping to recoup some cash from this beast at the same time giving someone a 60 inch bargain! Ive pictured the fault as best I can in a darkened room.

The TV was bought new from currys in March 2010 for £1499. it has been the best screen ive ever owned having had panasonics and samsungs previously, the picture quality needs to be seen in person, it carries THX certification and has pre set ISF day and night modes, its full hd and has tons of inputs. Its just a brilliant tv for film watching and gaming, im going to be really sad to see it go.

The screen has 0 image retention/screen burn, it has an orbitor feature which helps prevent this from happening which has always been on, as far as plasmas go its very good for not retaining an image much better than my previous panasonic.

This thing is HUGE and weighs over 50kg, its for collection only and will be a 2 man job although I can help you load it at my end. If you need anymore info just ask.

Comes with glass swivel stand and remote.

Considering it has the green line I just need a quick sale, £200 collected from Wakefield.

    Price and currency: £200.00
Delivery: Goods must be exchanged in person
    Payment method: Cash on collection.
    Location: Wakefield.

Is there anyway you could post a vid of it so I could see the fault?

Also is there anyway you could deliver it to Bradford, just off the M606?

Hi Danny, I'll wait for the vid with anticipation. I'd need to source a man and van if I'm happy with it, to get a quote I would need you be to post your post code or pm it to me(if that's aloud under trading rules). Cheers Andy

Hi Danny, what colours would you say the green line is most visible behind? I'd guess it's worse on red/yellow? Is it much worse on that?

It doesn't look terrible in the clips at all but I don't want to walk away from a deal after seeing it as being much worse in person. I'm want to get the best idea prior to agreeing any deal really.

My GF's mothers has an older LG with these lines on it too, although it's grown to a few now, how long has it had just the 1 line? And is definitely just the single one?

Would you accept £150 if I can get a reasonable deal sorted RE: transport?

    Cheers Andy

Hi guys, the line appeared 2 nights ago and is 2 pixels wide, some scenes like solid red colours or solid blue colours mainly show it up, ive videoed it and pictured it unless you see it in person thats the best I can do really. Ive just beeen playing call of duty which it isnt noticeable in games they seem to show it up the least. And their is only 1 line.

As regards the offer of £150 before accepting or declining we need to clear up a few details like if you arrange a man with a van you accept responsibility for its transit to you from me, it will leave me in full working order.

As regard your offer of £150 before I accept or decline maybe its best you sort a price for the courier and then offer me.

I would have to see how the wife felt about storing it for so long as shes seriously house proud!

Obviously its still open for someone to purchase in the meantime.

It would only be a couple of weeks pal, like I said I'd pay you beforehand anyway, I'm sure you've got a massive spare room to hide it in for a while lol

Yeah I have got a decent spare room, trouble is ive gone and turned it into a cinema room!

Im sure if we end up doing a deal I can get the wife round to accepting a tv sat, might have to charge a storage fee though! ;)

Haha I can sympathise with you, I turned my garage at my last house into a cinema room with a 120 inch screen in there :)
I'd pick it up sooner but there's no point in me hiring a van twice if I can help it

Hi mate, no box.im afraid it was 4 years ago plus the box was the size of a small house! It probably would fit in a golf, measurements are above.

I'd say no it wouldn't, I only just fit a Panasonic 55 inch TV in the back of my audi a3,not saying this to deter you from buying it pal, just genuinely don't think you'd get it in a golf

Best thing is to go off of the measurements above its depth is not enough to worry about just the width and height.

The woman has got back to me and good news it will fit on the chimney breast, bad news I've done a bit of googling and it seems it's a common issue and normally gets worse and needs a screen replacement, because of this I'd like to offer £100 as potentially it could last a week and die, cheers

Hi Danny, I've been run off my feet all day and only just called around for quotes only to get voicemails from 3 local guys who all reckon they're cheap, so still waiting on prices really. But I am still interested and I would accept responsibility in transit

Ok mate thats no problem, your offer of £150 is more where i would go, if you sort a good price for your van just get back to me if its still here then im sure we can get it sorted out.

I used a man with a van once for a sofa and it only cost me £30.

I'd like to offer £150 Danny if you could consider that. The one guy I've got through to says he can do it between £45-60, depending where you in Wakey, as he couldn't locate the post code on his phone. While I don't want to low ball you, I do consider the set may not have a long life and from what I've read more lines are likely to develop. So I think I'm likely looking at a replacement as the main set in the next 12 months. This ones replacing a cracked Panasonic Plasma, which we've been coping with since June but isn't too noticable from some angles tbh.

For yourself or Furryhobnob the following Samsung 60 inch plasma maybe of interest as it's the best price I've found in my plasma search.

Samsung 60 inch Smart TV Full 1080p Plasma 3D wifi (PS60F5500) £889.99 @ Beyond Television or £867.74 Inc 2.5% Cashback - Hot UK Deals

Although I wouldn't be surprised if you weren't after 1 of the last of the last Panasonics. I wonder if they're nearly as bright as the LEDs these days.
