My son wants to buy a 55” TV for his room, streaming and gaming.

He is only looking to spend £500 so is looking at these two

LG 55UN73006LA and Samsung UE55TU7100

I’m totally out of touch, so other to say that they are both good brands but as the LG is newer I’d say go with that.

Is there anything to choose between these two?

Cheers,

Nigel

Hard to recommend buying any TV right now on current pricing. If you are to choose a 2020 model its best sticking with either Hisense or TCL as they don't price their new models quite as high as the traditional manufacturers.

First step when choosing a TV would be panel type:

Hisense/TCL use VA type.

LG use IPS at 55"

Samsung could be either.

not much info on the Samsung one but think I would prefer that one.
