    Hi

I have just bought an LG 55UB830V 4K TV. When I connect my old WD TV Media Player (non-live version), the player keeps powering off after splash screen and then powering up. I have verified that it works fine on another TV. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Gary

Power both devices off at the wall, now connect the WD box to a different Input on the TV - skip the No1 Input and go for one not marked ARC or CEC then repower.

If that works and you want to use the WD box on a different Input you will need to ensure CEC is disabled on that Input in the TV HDMI settings.

Thanks for your advice. I followed your process in each of 3 HDMI ports with the same result in each. I was surprised to find that the USB port on the TV supports MKV encoded with DTS so this renders the WD TV unneccessary. So, in effect, my problem is solved.

    Many thanks
