LG 55LW450U at retail?

Hi,

I've been trying to locate the New 55" LG LW450U (Cinema 3d) set in retail stores but I've been unable to. All of the shops seem to have the 42", 47" and 55" LW550T, but not the lower model LW450U.

The 550T has nothing I want over the 450U but seems to be priced £700 more (just for the Smart software and Freeview HD tuner)

I know there are a few online retailers advertising the 450U for £1600; but I want to buy from a hi street store such as John Lewis or Fenwicks as they also provide 5 year warrantys and 12 month interest free finance. However it appears no hi-street stores are stocking the 450U (or planning to)

Anyone know if the 450U will ever be available at retail? Its frustrating only finding the overly expensive 550T at retail.

electricalexperience.co.uk and Very - Womens, Mens, & Kids Clothing | Furniture, Electricals, Homeware & More have the 450U at £1622.50.

However I want to buy it from the high street.

I noticed John Lewis has the 550T at £2300 so thats where I got the price difference from.

I want the 450U from the high street. not online. I don't see any places stocking the 450U and I'm wondering if retail don't like this particular model for some reason?

However if robert whyt did 12 month interest free Finance at the £1800 price point with that 5 year warranty I would probably go with them.. but they don't >_<..

basically if the 450U isn't going to come to high street retail then there is no chance John Lewis or Fenwicks are going to get it..

I saw these sets in currys pc world yesterday and from what i saw i wouldnt go for the 450U as its only got a 100hz refresh rat. 650T had a higher refresh at 200HZ and only £100 more on the price and dont forget the sky hd offer and cashback thingy:)

I've reserved the 55" LG LW550T from Fenwicks; 12 months interest free payments and 5 year Warranty :)

I've asked in a number of local shops and none of them are planning to stock the 450U; they are all pushing the 550T. They don't seem bothered about the 450U or the higher 650 model.

They are expecting the TV in around mid-may apparantly. with a 5 year warranty I don't mind paying it off over 12 months interest free :)
