LG 50PM680T sound out of sync

My friends just got this tv and the sound is out of sync on the sky box, xbox etc there is a clear delay to the sound on both via the tv speakers.. Hes tried everything with the settings to no avail.

Any ideas?

There are some delay settings in the sound menu.

Settings>Sound>AV Sync

Had the same trouble with the PM670 review sample but you can get it close with those controls.

Yeah they seem to have little effect? Same issue if you bypass the tv into the surround sound.. the sound lag is shocking!
