LG 49UJ630V 4K and Yamaha YAS-207 Sound Bar

Hi All,

I am looking to get a Yamaha sound bar to connect to my above listed TV. Unfortunately, my HDMI arc input on the TV appears to make the screen display a kind of shearing effect which makes me think its a faulty input. Up until now I have had a Cambridge Audio TVB2 but the subwoofer regularly seems to drop connection and loses the bass making me want to consider the Yamaha as mentioned above (unless someone else has any better suggestions for a sub £300 price). Because of the ARC input vision issues, I have been using a standard HDMI socket with an optical cable for the sound and I can use my TV remote to control the sound. If I buy the Yamaha unit, does anyone know if I can use the TV remote via optical or am I constrained to using HMDI ARC, or is there some other way I can connect to a HDMI ARC input and still using a normal HMDI for a set top box? Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards.
