Can anyone help with this problem?
The TV no longer responds to the remote control.
I have tried replacing the batteries and subsequently bought a new remote control but the TV doesn't respond to either of them.
I've noticed that the red 'standby' light at the bottom centre of the of the edge of the tv no longer seems to appear. I'm wondering if that is the receiver for the remote and its faulty?

Other than the above problem, the TV works fine.

No, that's not the IR sensor , that's the standby LED.
The IR sensor doesn't emit any visible light.
You would need to get the set looked at by a professional.

The OP's model is approx 5 yrs old and uses an IR remote not Bluetooth.

Indeed... The 'LA' range of TV's date back to 2013. I have an 'LN' model which is from the same time period and an 'LS' from the year before.

Both TV's still work okay but when some buttons on their remotes started to fail I replaced them with an LG AKB75095307 model. Which, I'm happy to confirm, functions perfectly with these old TV's.
