I have a 42PX4DV here in Australia, I believe your model has a higher resolution
1024x768, but I'm not sure, if it is HD with built in tuners, go for it, you will not be disappointed. :smashin:

Just check it good when it arrives. Plug a scart cable and switch it on before you accept it. Even better I should ask the courier to open it (I did it for mine), because they are insured (at least in Holland they are) and if is broken you don't need to take it and then call back etc...

    Hope everything arrives safely, Simon.

Could you post some feedback on the TV, as it looks like a pretty good deal but I can't find one locally to look at?

I assume this is the same LG I saw in a Dixons/Currys shop in Kendal, it had a HD ready sticker on it, was showing HD stuff and the picture looked really good.

I wouldn't be certain - when I was in Currys at the weekend they had an RZ42PY10X on display (which looked stunning running the LG HiDef Demo!) - but this model has been discontinued, apparently.

    Simon t,
Glad to hear that everything is ok.Are you watching dvd with component cables? upscaled? You probably will get best results with DVD player with HDMI and 720p

There is a guy who's got some trouble with a Samsung one, I'd maybe avoid that till he's worked out if the player is faulty, or if samsung players don't like LG screens. Mostly though, you'll have no trouble, it should be better than your existing s-video setup.

I am also looking at this LG, since its price is interesting! However, when I was able to have a quick look at a local shop, I noticed that LG has not a nice mode to display 4:3 in 16:9. Whereas JVC, Panasonic, Philips a.s.o. can stretch the picture in a way that it is not disturbing (leaving the center alone and only stretching the sides), the LG comes up with "small fat men", stretching the complete picture. What is the experience of other forum-members? And how about the LG "in total" (TV, DVD picture, pixel-problems a.s.o.)?
I am also looking at the Pana 42PV500 and Pio 436FDE of course, but they are much more expensive...
