the clock stops working /no clock showing on the switch on screen no matter how I set it up manually/auto in the Set Up
it works one day or so and then vanishes

Any suggestions

In auto mode the TV synchs when you use the freeview signal.

I never watch freeview so have it set to manual. Are you turning the TV off at the mains? (I've found this resets the TV to auto...)

thats my scenario as well
dumb system
as good as an on/off switch that is a standby button
is there not a workaround in the deeper settings apart from keeping the set powered forever even deleting the start up screen reminder
