Hi,
I'm looking at both of the above TV's, my old Sony 42" rear projection has just packed in and Im on a budget for a new one (£350).
Going from reviews on amazon/argos websites the LG seems favourable since the Samsung seems to be a moderately new model and hence has little to no reviews. The LG seems better for connectivity, and obviously the Sammy is better for pixel density (probably unnoticable) but is there much difference in the panels in these bad boys? The TV will primarily be used with a SKY HD box (no HD subscription) and MKV movies on a USB stick.
Also, is it a good idea to pay that little bit extra for an extended warranty? I mean how reliable are simple LCDs these days?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Cheers,
R
