Hello, I am new to this forum, so please forgive me if I have posted in the wrong area.
I wonder if someone could please help me?
I have recently bought the LG 42LF7700. It is my first LCD TV, so I'm not sure if my expectations are simply too high, but the left and right edges of the TV seem to be darker than the rest of the screen.
I first noticed it when watching a DVD through my PS3 and IXOS HDMI cables. Then I checked using my laptop, using it to extend a pure white image onto the entire TV screen using another IXOS HDMI cable. Sure enough, the same thing happens. It starts on the very edge, and comes into the screen by about an inch. It is more noticable toward the top of the screen.
It is an annoyance - i didnt notice it for the first couple days, but now its all I can see!
Please can someone help me - is this normal, or is it a fault with my TV set?
Many thanks
