Hi Folks, as you'll most likely be able to tell this is my first post.

I've just become the proud owner of a new 32" LCD (LG 32LX2R), at the moment it's sitting on it's table stand, however i'm really keen to get it wall mounted.

I've been looking for at wall brackets for the last day of so, but am just getting more and more confused. Can anyone offer advise on which one would be best for my tv?

I'm looking for something thats as slim fitting as possible, also it's got to be able to tilt as its going above the fireplace.

Thanks in advance! and nice to meet you all.. :smashin:

Hi pshand, any vesa 100mm wall mount should work, take a look at these:

As for their quality... ??

If your planning to install on top of the fireplace why not isntall the wall mount inside the wall and leave 1/2cm out so that u can tilt the lcd?

make sure that u have a power outlet or cord and leave space for the a/v cables (advice: leave LOTS of space for all type of connection that u have in the lcd)

Great, thanks for that advise. I'll have a look throught those sites.

Time to start measuring up, its a thick brick wall so i dont think i'll be able to install the wall mount inside the wall that easily.

I'm intending to channel the power cables a good distance away from the channel im creating for the av cables, hopefully prevent any interference.

When you buy a wall bracket, or a cantilever stand, make sure you can adjust the angle, tilt or the height if you can't position the LCD so you're looking at it straight on.
LCD screens, regardless of manufacturer claims are still sensitive to viewing angles, and especially black levels have a tendency to shift grey-blue at an angle.

Yeh, I'd heard that too, to check my tv I did a crude experiment by getting mate to hold it while I looked on at an angle. It wasnt too bad but viewing it straigt on its marginaly better at low angles.

I ended up going for this one http://www.av-sales.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=OLB05&cat=191

others out there, but put of by either the price or the low level of info provided by the company. I'm due to recieve it tomorrow, so am now on the hunt for some quality cables.

Anybody know what the dimensions of the VESA mount for the LG 32LX2R is.

100 x ??

Any help appreciated.

So I bought one, and there are 6 screw holes are at 100x100 and 100x200. I would gues this makes it 100x200 else it will be off-centre.

I think what Demostenes meant was, cut a recess into the front of the wall, so that the wall mounting plate is sunk below the surface, leaving just the TV mounting plate proud of the surface. You'd still fit it from the front.
