I have a Sony DVP-NS92V DVD player connected to my LG 32LX2R via HDMI. I've set the Sony to export an upscaled resolution of 1280x720p as described in the manual. I am extremely pleased with the PQ but am concerned there may be some kind of scaling problem. At this setting (and the 1920x1080i setting) there a few rows of black pixels at the top and bottom of the screen - making the overall viewing area just a wee bit smaller. This does not happen at the 720x576p setting. I've paused a few DVD's at the same point for comparisons on all settings, and have found I'm actually getting more picture information, but in this slightly smaller area at the 1280x720p setting. I was wondering if someone with greater technical expertise than I could advise if this is normal or if there is indeed some kind of scaling problem between the Sony and the LG (1366x768 resolution)? Many thanks in advance.:)
