LG 32LV355T-ZC - What does the ethernet socket do?

Standard Member

I have set up the TV to connect to the internet and my home network can "see" the TV. I can "ping" the TV from any PC on my network and get a good, quick response.

But that's it! The connection appears to have no function, the manual only mentions how to connect to the internet and the LG website is equally unhelpful. What can this connection be used for?

I would like to stream movie files, audio files and pictures over the network to the TV. Can this be done? If so, any help would be gratefully received.
