LG 32LG5000 - No Menu or Ability to Change Input - Can I Reset the TV?

I turned my tv on one morning and the television was flicking like crazy between the menu and input options, like someone was controlling it.

Eventually it froze up so it was selected on AV2 and no buttons on the remote or the television work.

I've tried restarting the tv, taken out all connections, batteries out of the remote etc, but nothing is responding on the tv, so I can't access the menu etc to try things like factory reset.

I'm assuming it's a software related problem as the tv starts ok and the on screen prompts like "No Signal" show up fine.

Is there anyway I can reset the television or reinstall, if someone can provide some guidance on how to do so.

try pressing the menu button on the remote and tv at the same time you may have to press both several times together, good luck
