LG 32LC3R sound question

I've got this set connected to my stereo using the audio out on the TV, but I find I need to turn the volume up very high on the stereo to hear it at all.

The audio out level does vary with the volume of the TV but its still way too low.

Does anyone know of a way to increase the audio out sound level, from the service menu for example?

Thanks for any help
