    Hi,

Recently changed amps from an Arcam av50 to a Yamaha DSP AX620 and after many weeks unhappy with the sound have finally settled for the current set up. Problem is the sub performance I have to turn the sub output up to 3/4 or full to get any effect (even then its not great)

I seem to remember reading that some Yamaha amps have poor LFE output is this true?

Is there something I can do to improve sub performance?

Sub is a Paradigm PDR10, used without a problem on the Arcam I could NEVER turn it past half way. It provided a good deep bass now its faint and weedy! HHHEELLLPPP MMMEEEEE

Have checked the connections and settings all OK.

DVD play back gives better bass (just) but really poor via TV/SAT?

I have had a couple of Yammy amps and had no problems with bass. Check the lfe and sub out level on the amp. To get bass from tv you will have to set all speakers to small, no lfe channel from tv.
