    Hi,

This SVS bass is getting rather addictive.

So I borrowed the "Tomb Raider" video last night.

I cranked the gain on the SVS to 12 o'clock and sat back and enjoyed thunderous effects with the usual silly grin.

Then I began to wonder

Is there any practical difference between DVD + LFE compared with video tape + high-level sub connections?

With the dialogue level still comfortable on the mains. I was averaging a very enjoyable 90dB in the bass on the SPL meter.

    Am I missing something? :boring:

    Thanks

    Nimby
